Understand the Three-way pipe

The pipe joint with three openings is called tee pipe. Tee pipe is widely used in the pipe network conveying liquid and gas. Due to different conveying media, the material of tee pipe is divided into: cast copper, cast aluminum, plastic, cast iron, cast steel, glass, etc. tee is also widely used.

Introduction:

As the name suggests, there are three openings, i.e. one in and two out, or two in and one out. It is a kind of chemical pipe fittings, T-shaped and Y-shaped. It has equal diameter nozzle and reducing nozzle. It is used for the collection of three identical or different pipelines. Its main function is to change the direction of fluid.

Principle:

Stainless steel tee is a kind of pipe fitting used for pipe branch. For the manufacture of tee with seamless steel pipe, the commonly used processes include hydraulic bulging and hot pressing. The hydraulic bulging of stainless steel tee is a forming process of expanding the branch pipe through axial compensation of metal materials.

The process is to inject liquid into the tube blank with the same diameter as the tee with a special hydraulic press, and squeeze the tube blank synchronously through the two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press. After the tube is extruded, the volume of the tube blank becomes smaller, and the pressure of the liquid in the tube blank increases with the decrease of the volume of the tube blank. When the stainless steel tee branch pipe expands to the required pressure, the metal material flows along the inner cavity of the die and expands out of the branch pipe under the dual action of the liquid pressure in the side cylinder and the pipe blank.
